PropertyMesh.ca (“PropertyMesh”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information in Canada, including the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), while providing our real estate services (the “Services”), which are described in our Terms and Conditions.
Who we are. PropertyMesh.ca is wholly owned by Faiza Ahmed Realty Corporation and operates under INTERNATIONAL REALTY FIRM, INC., Brokerage (RECO #4799095).
1) Scope
This Policy applies to personal information we collect online (our website, forms, email/SMS, chat) and offline in the course of providing real-estate services.
2) What we collect
- Identity & contact: name, email, phone, city/region.
- Home search/sale details: budget range, property preferences, timing, neighbourhoods.
- Transaction information (if you engage us): offer details, deposit/closing dates, and documents you or your representatives share with us.
- Communications: messages, support requests, call/SMS/email preferences.
- Usage & device data: pages visited, actions on tools/calculators, IP address, browser type, general location.
- Cookies & similar technologies: to remember preferences, understand site usage, and (if enabled) measure marketing performance.
3) How we collect it
- Directly from you (forms, calls, emails, chats).
- From your activity on our site (cookies/analytics).
- From service providers and real-estate professionals involved in a transaction (e.g., cooperating brokerages, lawyers, appraisers), with appropriate authority.
4) How we use your information
- To provide and improve real-estate services, including connecting you with licensed REALTORS®, scheduling showings, answering inquiries, and preparing or transmitting documents.
- To send service communications (appointment confirmations, document reminders).
- With your consent, to send marketing (newsletters, updates, promotions)—you can withdraw consent at any time (see §10).
- To operate, maintain, secure, and enhance our website, tools, and calculators.
- To comply with legal, regulatory, audit, and anti-fraud obligations.
5) Legal bases / consent
We rely on consent, contractual necessity, legitimate interests (e.g., improving services and ensuring security), and legal obligations. Where required (e.g., marketing or non-essential cookies), we obtain express consent.
6) Sharing & disclosures
We may share personal information with:
- Brokerage personnel and REALTORS® engaged to assist you.
- Service providers (hosting, analytics, CRM, email/SMS platforms, form tools, professional advisors) under contract and confidentiality.
- Other real-estate participants (cooperating brokerages, lawyers, appraisers, inspectors) to deliver services you request.
- Regulators or law enforcement if required by law or to protect rights, property, and safety.
- Business transactions (e.g., reorganization or sale), subject to safeguards.
We do not sell personal information.
7) International / cross-border processing
Some providers may process personal information outside your province or Canada. Your data may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We apply safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
8) Cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site function, remember preferences, and understand usage. Non-essential cookies (e.g., marketing analytics) run only with your consent.
- You can also use browser controls to block or delete cookies; some features may not function without them.
Google Analytics (GA4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve content and performance. GA4 uses cookies and similar technologies to collect usage data (e.g., page views, session stats, approximate location, browser/device info). GA4 does not log or store IP addresses; approximate location is derived and IPs are discarded before data is logged.
Retention. For standard GA4 properties, event-level user and conversion data is retained for 2 or 14 months (as configured).
Aggregated reports may persist longer.
Signals/Ads (if enabled). If we activate Google Signals (cross-device/ads features), it runs only with your consent and can be disabled per region. You can manage analytics cookies via browser settings, adjust Google Ads Settings, or install Google’s Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details on how Google processes data.
9) Marketing & CASL compliance
We send commercial electronic messages (“CEMs”, like newsletters or promotions) only with valid consent (express or implied).
Every CEM includes our identification and a no-cost, readily performed unsubscribe mechanism.
- We honour unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
- The unsubscribe link or address remains valid for at least 60 days after the message is sent.
- We maintain records of consent (including how and when it was obtained) and of unsubscribe requests.
Implied consent windows: if you have an existing business relationship with us, implied consent generally lasts up to 2 years
from the most recent transaction; if you inquired/applied but did not transact, implied consent lasts up to 6 months—unless you withdraw sooner.
We will seek express consent to continue beyond those windows.
Telemarketing note: For voice calls, we follow the CRTC’s Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules,
including National Do-Not-Call requirements and internal do-not-call lists.
10) Your choices & rights
- Withdraw marketing consent via the Unsubscribe link in emails or by contacting us.
- Manage or withdraw consent for non-essential cookies by adjusting your browser settings.
- Access & correction: request access to—and correction of—your personal information.
- Deletion/objection: subject to legal limits, request deletion or object to certain processing.
11) Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law (e.g., real-estate, tax, regulatory retention). When no longer needed, we securely delete, anonymize, or archive it.
12) Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards proportionate to the sensitivity of the data
(e.g., access controls, encryption in transit, least-privilege practices). No system is perfectly secure; please use caution when sending sensitive details electronically.
13) Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 without appropriate consent.
